An increasing number of cities ,states & nations have shut down Institution of learning as a response to the Covid 19 Pandemic. As per UNESCO’S 2020 report, over 80% of the world students are not attending college. Examinations are being cancelled & classes have been temporarily suspended. How long can this closure be continued? Even though India is gearing up to slowly open its businesses, Educational Institutions are expected to last to reopen.

In keeping with this understanding, educators are now using digital technologies that enable a virtual immersive learning environment, which is engineered to mimic physical reality. The focus of institute and university is on providing a content rich experience which is not only efficient but has the maximum possibility knowledge retention of students. For the past few years educational content is being created keeping hand held devices like mobile phone, laptop and tablet in mind.

 In 2020, in the midst of this crisis, we will see ramification rising to the next level and its adoption in distance learning methodology is increasing. More learning will happen through content which is created in gamified manner.

The shift was so sudden that half of our student’s books are still kept in college and library. The benefit of e-learning is that they no longer depending upon physical books.  Their notes, books and activities are available at a click. While we are still adjusting to this completely digital classroom, this is beneficial for students across the globe, especially testing times like these.

The aim to revolutionize the education system in India, concludes, “live lectures replicate the actual classroom environment, thereby instilling enthusiasm and interest among students to learn and attend classes regularly. As educators our mission must be to enable and encourage institute to take a step forward in the right direction and adapt to these change in structure. This will make sure that academic operations are not hampered amidst a global crisis through technology we must try and provide uninterrupted academic operations, and adapt to online learning platform.”
